2009 Villa Calcinaia Chianti Classico Riserva

A 100% Sangiovese, 1959 and 1975 the vineyard were planted by his father and they have 70 acres planted on the estate which has a guest house that sleeps 20. this wine has a very pretty nose wild strawberry, pretty floral notes and a good hand of fresh earth. A very forward and drinkable wine with lots of juicy red berry fruit, a nice hand of dried herbs and flowers and a zesty fresh finish. finish 45+ Excellent +
