2009 Pakravan Papi Cancellaia di Riparbella

A unique Tuscan blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, the wine's name refers to the gate that is in front of the winery, 2000-3000 bottles produced this is a very small production wine, has a very intense bouquet of fresh black earth truffle, black currants cherry, dark spices, mocha, very complex bouquet. This wine is made by one of the winemakers for Sassicaia and has a big and chewy texture on the tongue with lots of dark currant and cassis berry fruit, dried violet and floral notes along with a host of fine herbs and a long fresh balanced finish.
