This wine was created in 1983 and the name refers to the style of production which involves the best grapes from all of their vineyard sites then they dry the grapes for 3 month, a cross between Amarone and Barolo. This wine is aged in New French barriques for 2 years and Casimiro Maule was the first to use new barriques in this region. Very rich and concentrated with thick cherry liqueur like fruit with an array of exotic spice, rose petal, they use twice the amount of fruit to make this wine because of the drying process. There are 35,00 bottles produced of this marque wine but only in great vintages. A very smooth and silky texture on the tongue with cherry liqueur like fruit, exotic spices dried floral notes and a long zesty finish, this wine does have some tannins but is nicely balanced. Finish 50+ Most Excellent
