An homage to the history of this family one of the original Mexican settlers that were given a 47,000 acre land grant by the Spanish Government. This wine is made from 8 different clones, there are 1 acre of each planted, swan selection heritage clones all the bud wood came from Byron vineyard. A very spicy bouquet, peppery and a pretty floral notes, a hint of game, very complex bouquet of aromas. A big Pinot Noir on the palate with a good amount of tannins here, nice structure and bright acidity holding things together, a long earthy finish with dark spice and pretty floral notes, a bit hot but still balanced. Finish 50 Most Excellent
