This is another ranch up in the mountains between Spring Mountain and Diamond Mountain, but no AVA here just Napa, the Ranch is 740 acres and 16 planted up here in the mountains, a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Sangiovese, 4% Merlot 2% Petite Syrah and 1% Cabernet Franc. They have only been amking wine for 20 years under this label, this is the entry level wine, Cathy Corison was the original winemaker, and they have Murray Heisey was there under Cathy and is still here today. Dark cherry, currant berry fruit, a bit of black olive, fresh plowed earth, dark coco and dark earth and some herbal notes, a nice old world bouquet. A good amount of dark cherry and currant berry fruit with a nice touch fo spice and earth, nicely balanced with a short but pleasant finish. Finsh 35+ Very Good +
