2009 Le Morette Perseo Veneto Rosso

This wine is only produced in exceptional vintages, 6,500 bottles produced on average. A blend of 45% Merot and 55% Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Oesleta in the blend, in Tonneux for 20-24 months and in larger Slovenian oak they dry the Cabernet Sauvigon and Oseleta. Clay soils give a nice acidity and this wine has a very amarone like bouquet dried currants, cherry, bitter coco, dark damp earth, very rich and concentrated bouquet of aromas, they dry under natural conditions. A big and chewy wine on the tongue but still has wonderful freshness with an array of dried currant and plum fruit, dark spices and a host of dried floral and dark coco like spice, very exotic, black pepper and tobacco Spice.
