2008 Concha Y Toro Gravas del Maipo Syrah Buin Maipo

This is a small appellation in the Maipo, there are three of these, Pirque and Puete Alto which is where the Don Melchor is from. A host of dark spices, soy, black plum and dark cherry liqueur like fruit dark coco, espresso and fresh plowed dark earth, sweet tobacco and dark pepper. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with dark plum and cherry fruit, dark spices, and smooth round tannins big but has wonderful balance and depth of flavors with lots of dark spices and dark coco lovely complexity through the finish.
