2022 Jean-Claude Boisset Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits Blanc

This appellation is distinctive in that it is considered a regional appellation, even though it only covers a specifically-delimited area. The vineyard is located parallel to its Côte de Nuits equivalent (to the west), albeit at a higher altitude. The soil consists of limestone resurgences that are well-suited to Chardonnay and give the wine its character and great freshness. The area planted with Chardonnay is a mere 300 acres.
