2020 Alban Vineyards Lorraine Estate Syrah Edna Valley

(98 Points) Wow, the 2020 Syrah Lorraine is a blockbuster-styled expression of this cuvée. It has an inky purple hue as well as a blockbuster nose of ripe black and blue fruits, smoked meats, ground pepper, iodine, and floral notes. These carry to a full-bodied, deep, unctuous Syrah with flawless tannins, a deep, layered mouthfeel, and a massive style that will evolve for two decades.  Jeb Dunnuck, Review Date: 08/2024
