2017 K Vintners Syrah Powerline Vineyard Walla Walla

(93 Points) Beginning with a juicy and generous nose, the 2017 Syrah Powerline offers stewed plum, baked black cherry and spiced blueberry compote with elements of umami, baked earth and black pepper. Full-bodied, the wine displays a firm, succulent and dusty nature on the palate, giving way to lifting tannins that are open-knit and approachable in youth. It ends with persistent flavors of spiced plum skin on the long-lingering and subtly spiced finish.
