2008 Glaetzer 'Amon-Ra' Shiraz Barossa Valley, Australia

(95 Ponits) Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2008 Amon-Ra opens with profound aromas of black berry compote, baking spices, smoked bacon with a whiff of anise and some fertile loam. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with very full and rich warm berry flavors lifted by very lively acid. The tannins are medium to firm and velvety on the long finish. Drink it now to 2022+.
