2013 Bodegas Luzon Altos de Luzon Jumilla image

A blend of 50% Monstrell,  25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Tempranillo and this wine sees both American and French oak with 2-3 year old barrigues, this wine has a good bit of ripe cherry and dark plum like fruit on the nose with a nice touch of that animal, savage character, a bit of toasty campfire wood, nice complexity here.  A good amount of spice, dark berry fruit, some tannins at the end here with jammy fruit, toasty oak and espresso like coffee notes at the end.  Finish 45+    Excellent +
