VINTAGE: 2001. Rated “Excellent”. 100% Tempranillo Deep and dense, concentrated red with oxblood rim. Extremely aromatic and concentrated nose in line with the small, high quality of the 2001 vintage. Dark berry fruits complemented by intense garrigue/mountain herb aromas and complex notes of cigar box and allspice. Still unevolved for its age, dense, showing strong fruit purity, freshness and expression. 

2001, the inaugural vintage of a new millennium and a year that now forms part of the history of Rioja due to its exceptional quality. The average levels of the analytic data are undoubtedly the highest seen to date, higher even than those of iconic vintages like 1994.
