The estate is named after the ancient Etruscan settlement whose center lies a few kilometers away from the cellar. It consists of 70 hectares, 14 of which are planted to vineyards and farmed sustainably.
Ghiaccio Forte’s Vigne del Passero Morellino di Scansano is a blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the clay and volcanic soils of the region. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel, preserving its fresh fruit character. Flavors of raspberries, blackberries and spice are complimented by a subtle balsamic note. The wine features delicate tannins, energetic acidity and a soft mouth-feel which make the wine excellent on its own but also a great compliment to a wide array of Italian inspired dishes.
