(93 Points) “The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is dusty and floral, with a dark blend of crushed blackberries and mentholated herbs forming its bouquet. This floods the palate with ripe red and blue fruits guided by brisk acidity, all the while maintaining a lifted and finessed character. Grippy tannins take hold as the 2018 finishes long, spicy and structured, leaving just a touch of orange to fade. Sadly, I find the extended aging has robbed this Riserva of the vivid fruit inherent in the 2018 vintage.” Eric Guido Vinous
