2016 Uccelliera Costabate Toscana IGT (Magnum)

Costabate is a matter close to Andrea Corteonesi's heart and comes only in the best years and then in just 500 magnum bottles to the selected specialist trade and the top gastronomy. This exceptional wine is vinified in barrique barrels of over 300 year old oaks.

This wine is made from a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from the vineyards of Uccelliera. These are located at three different altitudes and thus different microclimates. It is an expression of the unique terroir around Castelnuovo dell'Abate and is exactly like a Brunello declassified as IGT.
