2010 Fattoria Zerbina Torre de Ceparano Sangiovese di Romagna

A selection of better sites, limestone and chalky areas smaller berries, 5% New Barrel and 5% American oak and the rest is aged for 1 year in older barrique, there is a mix of 10% other varietasls here like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Ancellotta, a very pretty nose, some new leather like notes to the ripe wild strawberry fruit with notes of fine herbs, tobacco spice and vanilla notes. A very smooth and silky wine on the tongue with a solid core of red cherry fruit and wonderful freshness. Finish 50+ Excellent
