Winemaker Notes:  A rainy spring followed by a hot and dry summer brings balance and finesse to our Châteauneuf-du-Pape Première Pierre 2021. It exalts aromas of black fruits, raspberry, blackcurrant, prune with pretty tannins, silky and coated with a finish long and creamy. Good aging potential with high acidity and moderate alcohol content.

SOIL TYPE: Sand, clay, limestone, and rounded pebbles. This terroir diversity allows us to produce complex and balanced wines.

GRAPE VARIETIES: GRENACHE 80%, SYRAH: 10%, CINSAULT: 5%, MOURVEDRE: 5%

VINIFICATION: Our red Châteauneuf-du-Pape is produced traditionally. The vines are between 35 and 75 years old. The grapes are harvested by hand and 60% destemmed. Vatting is monitored by temperature control and lasts 25 to 35 days.

AGING: The wines are aged in oak barrels, half-barrels, concrete vats, and barrels for a period of 12 months.

TASTING: Our Tradition has aromas of red and black fruits; Blackberry and blueberry, along with hints of spice.

This is a concentrated and structured wine, ideal for aging. We recommend enjoying it in 6-8 years.
