(94 Points) This Corton bottling is made from a blend of fruit from the climats of les Chaumes and les Combes, with the vines fifty years of age in both parcels. The family also owns vines in les Pougets, which they bottle on its own. Interestingly, Vincent Rapet chooses to age this wine in only twenty percent new oak. The 2023 Corton delivers a deep and complex bouquet of red and black cherries, a touch of red currant, roasted venison, iron-infused soil tones, bonfire, fresh thyme and a nicely understated framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, young and beautifully defined by its underlying soil, with a fine core of fruit, ripe, buried tannins, good acids and fine focus and grip on the long, youthfully complex and very well balanced finish. This will be excellent in due course. (Drink between 2045-2100) John Gilman, Review Date: 01/2025
