2022 Jean Claude Boisset Beaune Les Greves 1er Cru

One of the most famous Premier Crus in Beaune 40% new oak, low toast and the name refers to the gravelly soils in this area.  This wine has a good amount of black cherry and black raspberry fruit with that crushed rock like mineral notes along with a light smoky note coming out as the wine opens.  Succulent berry fruit on the tongue with silky smooth tannins, a host of exotic spices and dried floral notes through the finish, nice freshness through the finish.  Finish 45+    Excellent +
