2017 Chateau De Pierreux Brouilly

A selection and only done in great vintages all destemmeed a longer maceration than the normal cuvee aged in large oak for 13-14 months 15% new. A bright and forward bouquet of black cherry and dark raspberry fruit, some crushed rock like minerality granite and pretty floral notes to the nose. This 190 acre estate a monopole and this is owned by the Boisset Family. A good amount of ripe berry fruit on the tongue with fine tannins and a firm hand of acidity, a very forward and drinkable wine but with excellent balance.
