2015 Mad Violets Pinot Noir Willamette Valley

                  This is a blend of five vineyards, all farmed by Stirling; 40% our own Buttonfield Estate Vineyard! The clonal mix of 777, Pommard and 115 plantings is crafted from four Willamette Valley AVA's: Trout Lily Ranch in the Chehalem Mountain AVA, Dupee Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA, Three Angels Vineyard in the Eola-Amity AVA and Terrarossa Vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA.



The tapestry of attributes from these three clones and five sites has yielded a beautiful wine in a year of ideal growing conditions. The rich ruby color has undertones of indigo. The nose has ripe essence of black cherry, cedar and dried roses with deep notes of strawberries and raspberries, lavender and sandalwood. The approach is bright with balanced acidity and the lush tannins extend the silky finish. This wine has wonderful balance and expression of the vintage and will cellar well for years.
