2014 Williams Selyem Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

A restrained, cool and distinctly airy nose is one of the spiciest in the range with its well-layered array of plum, dark cherry, raspberry and floral nuances. This too possesses excellent volume and mid-palate concentration as it coats the palate with sappy extract that also buffers the moderately firm tannins shaping the beautifully persistent and balanced finish. This isn't quite as complex as I'm used to seeing even at this early juncture but the track record here is so good that more depth will almost certainly develop. *Outstanding*   Review Date: 06/2017
