There is plenty of cherry character present though here it's more Maraschino-like than wild, along with plenty of spice elements and in particular anise and sandalwood. The delicious and notably concentrated medium weight flavors possess a highly seductive mouth feel as the abundant level of dry extract coats the palate while simultaneously buffering the moderately firm tannic spine on the well-balanced and refined yet solidly powerful and persistent finale. This beauty is also going to need plenty of cellar time but it should be more than worth the wait! *Outstanding*     Review Date: 04/2016
