Possibly the greatest wine to date from this incredible site that's located just south of Santa Maria, Lato's 2013 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard Suerte offers sensational levels of sweet red fruits, currants, forest floor, spring flowers and salty minerality on both the nose and palate. Sexy, seamless and elegant, with its acidity perfectly integrated into its core of sweet fruit, it doesn't put a foot wrong, has fine tannin and is already hard to resist. Nevertheless, it should be better in another 1-2 years and drink well through 2023+. (JD)   Review Date: 08/2015
