2012 Tyler Pinot Noir Old Vines Bien Nacido Santa Maria
At Bien Nacido, I have the good fortune of working with the three best blocks of the original plantings dating back to 1973. Each of these parcels is crafted separately and only just before bottling is blended and bottled. For the 2012 bottling, I went through and selected the six most exceptional barrels between the three blocks. It is a wine of density and power while still remaining fresh and bright. This is the most classy Bien Nacido-Old Vine yet.
