2019 Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo Cicala

A beautiful bouquet of fresh earth truffle, red cherry , light tar and black spices, camphor and rose petal floral notes very seductive bouquet right out of the bottle, this 2009 vintage has lots of immediate appeal. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with a firm hand of tannins on the finish, but lots of fruit here and a firm hand of acidity, more appealing on the nose but has all that nuance and spice from the nose through the finish.
