2011 Domenico Clerico Barolo image

This is the first vintage of this wine fruit from Ginestra and Mosconi and this is then only 2011 in the market, they are now using larger oak casks, in addition to the barriques. Dark cherry liqueur like fruit, minty notes and truffle like earthy notes on the nose. A big and chewy wine with lots of tannins, a bit more approachable than the 2010 but this wine still needs time with a good amount of that minerally through the finish, nicely built with a nice length through the finish. Finish 45+ Excellent +
