A totally transcendental, hypnotizing wine, the 1982 possesses incredible vibrancy, power and length, with endless layers of mint, dried roses, red fruits and licorice that come together on an impeccably refined frame. The wine’s inner perfume and mineral-driven personality vie for my attention all the way through to the sublime finish. This immortal, towering masterpiece is one of the greatest wines made in Italy over the last 50 years. In a perfect world, I would love to taste this next to the 1982 Barolos of Giacomo Conterno and Bruno Giacosa, and the Brunellos of Gianfranco Soldera and Pertimali." Wine Advocate.
