2022 Doubleback Merlot Walla Walla

Such a beautiful vintage for Merlot as the lateness of the season extended this early ripening variety. Deep ruby, classic aromas of plum and fresh blueberries alongside of raspberry, freshly pulled espresso, and hints of vanilla and a curious orange hint. Rich, round on the palate, dense and silk-like tannins that have a glycerol length to the finish that is evocative and leaves you longing for more. This is such an underrated variety when planted in the right places! All estate grown. Decant now and drink through 2042.
