2017 Saint Cernin Proprietary Red No 1 Bergerac

A blend of mostly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Malbec in the blend with a good amount of plum, dark cherry and blackberry fruit with hints of dried toacco spice, black licorice and coco highlights, nice complexity here on the nose, a hint of a vegetal peppery character.  Michel Rolland is the consultant here with a good amount of that terroir peppery spice and a nice freshness to the finish, complex and layered finish.   Finish 45+          Excellent +
