2004 Fontodi Chianti Riserva Vigne de Sorbo MAGNUM

(96 Points) Medium to deep garnet colour. Pretty, fresh blackberry and warm cherry aromas on the nose with fragrant nuances of rose petals and Chinese five spice. The tannins are firm yet finely grained and accessible. A crisp backbone of acidity provides freshness and perfect balance to the rich, ripe fruit flavours. The style straddles that wonderfully fine line between elegance and decadence. Very long finish with lingering notes of black truffles.
