The have two properties the orignal one in Tramine and the winery s history goes back to the 1300's, then in the early 1900's the Walch family purchased the Castel Ringberg property that dates back to the 1600's. This is the largest family owned vineyard in Alto Adige. Everything is estate grown. Only 900 cases produced of this single vineyard, this wine has a bit more intensity as 20% of this wine sees older French oak to add some richness to the mouth. Rich pear and lemon citrus on the nose with highlights of wet stone and lime blossom. Wonderful intensity on the tongue with a good amount of fruit in the mid palate and nice length, a creamy mineral laced texture on the tongue, rich layered finish, even better on the second day. finish 45+ Excellent +
