(90 points) The dark purple-colored 2000 Celtico Rosso (a barrique-aged blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot) reveals a big, sweet perfume of creme de cassis, graphite, flowers, and minerals. Aged 15 months in French oak, and bottled unfiltered, the Celtico Rosso possesses admirable sweetness, intensity, and a distinctive character from the Friuli terroir that I find difficult to articulate. I'm impressed. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2015. Wine Advocate #144 Dec 2002
