(94 Points) In contrast to Prüm's Wehlener Sonnenuhr auslese, this wine is less flamboyant, more taciturn in character. The bouquet is rather sulfury and leesy but clearly suggests great potential. It's dense and powerful on the palate, with apple, citrus and vanilla flavors that finish long and crisp. It may seem redundant to go on gushing about each of Prüm's 2005 bottlings, but each is majestic in its own way—a tremendous success. Like the other offerings, this one should last 30 or more years.
