2023 Chalone Vineyards Chenin Blanc Estate Grown Chalone Appellation

These vines were planted in 1919, this is a classic dry style of chenin with a good amount of tree fruits quince, fresh flowers, and a stone like mineral quality a light briny note.  A very rich wine on the tongue with a smooth creamy texture and a firm hand of acidity leaving the tongue salivating for food very long mineral laced finish.  finish 45+    Most Excellent
