2018 Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve Personnelle Alsace

In exceptional years, a selection of parcels in the Grand Cru Osterberg and Wiebaum Vineyard in Ribeauvillé produce this wine of great maturity and opulence, with succulent fruit. The 2018 vintage was very hot and dry, light rains at the end of August helped to relieve the vines and improve the ripeness. The harvest conditions were absolutely exceptional, quality and quantity both present. 2020 vintage started with a mild winter and spring, flowering in early June. Very dry and hot summer and early autumn. The rain finally appeared and allowed the grapes to ripen in optimal conditions. Harvest of small, compact bunches in mid-September, small yields but perfect health and acidity preserved thanks to the cool nights, superb fruit concentration!
