2012 Michel Gassier Lou Coucardie

A blend of 60% Rousanne and 40% Viognier berries smaller skins thicker more flesh, rousanne can be super ripe and they pick it on the arly side do 2 days of skin contact, they keep the wine on the pulp and they get more flesh out of the wine, new barrels are larger 500 liters, no racking. This wine has a beautiful bouquet fresh picked flowers, violet, beeswax, and juicy tree fruit, peaches and pears and a touch of vanilla spice. Has very pretty fruit on the tongue with a smooth and creamy texture with excellent underlying acidity and freshness with tongue tingly minerality and pretty floral notes through the finish, lovely intensity here.
