2013 Chankana Ayni Malbec Mendoza

This is their top wine and this wine has a nice richness and concentration of blackberry and black cherry fruit, nice amount of black earth, licorice and violet floral notes on the nose, this wine spends 12 months in new French oak. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with thick blackberry fruit and an array of black pepper spice, violet floral notes with nice structure and depth of flavors, dark spice, tobacco and licorice through the finish. Stiil very young this wine could use a bit of time to mellow a bit but everything is in proportion here and even better on the second day. Finish 45+ Excellent +
