(95 points) Blackberry fruit with a tar-like, savory component give preview to this wine’s great depth. Stout, firmly structured tannins marry with a fruity heft to the mid-palate. The finish is broad and coating, with a high level of volume; it lasts for over thirty seconds. It is no wonder that enthusiasts of Napa reds sometimes gravitate to the Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir.
