2018 Stonestreet Chardonnay Upper Barn Alexander Valley

Wine Watch Review:  The Upper Barn is the pinnacle in terms of quality for California Chardonnay, and the 2018 vintage is no exception. This wine has a beautiful nose of white flowers, peach, pear and lemon drop candy with a nice touch of toasty oak spice, crème flan and a flinty mineral highlight.  Big and volumous on the palate with a smooth creamy texture and a long layered finish, a firm hand of acidity leaves the tongue salivating for food, a big bold California chardonnay but also has freshness and balance to age for up to 10 years in the cellar.  Finish 50+  TASTING DATE 2/2/24
