2017 Peter Michael 'Cuvee Indigene' Chardonnay Sonoma County

Composed entirely of Old Wente barrel selection fruit, the barrel sample of the 2017 Chardonnay Cuvee Indigene is profoundly scented of exotic fruit, pineapple paste, apricot tart, honeyed-drizzled pears and brioche with touches of crème caramel and candied orange peel. Big, bold and sexy in the mouth, it struts layer upon layer of stone fruit and exotic fruit flavors with a satiny texture and very long zesty finish. Incredible texture—this will be very long lived. 506 cases are expected to be made, to be released in February 2019.  Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
