DuPratt Chardonnay is as timeless as the centuries-old Alpine trees that surround this organically grown vineyard. Tucked away along the Mendocino Ridge, the higher elevation and pronounced coastal influences have yielded a focused and balanced wine. Teeming with vibrant minerality, this terrior-driven wine showcases aromatics of orange blossoms and freshly zested lemons alongside wet stone aromas. The solid backbone and precise acidity of this wine delivers flavors of Meyer lemon and Asian pear over the palate. An alluring mouthfeel is achieved through the extended grape skin contact the fruit undergoes before being pressed off and sent to barrel for fermentation and aging. Completely fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels, the characteristics of this Chardonnay are distinctly reminiscent of a cru Chablis.
