RUINART BLANC SINGULIER

RE-CRAFTING CHARDONNAY

Adapting to the ever-changing natural environment, Ruinart has perfected its know-how and created a new expression of chardonnay. Ruinart Blanc Singulier embodies the distinctiveness of each year's wines, reflecting the variations in climate and the essence of that specific vintage.

In response to the evolving temperatures in Champagne, the shortened vine cycle, and the accelerated maturation process, chardonnay shows different aromatic profiles with increased fruitiness and spiciness. These climate-exposed chardonnays exhibit a harmonious balance between aromatic families, intensified expression, and a texture characterised by roundness and power.

To reveal these exceptional aromatic expressions while upholding the Ruinart signature style, the cellar master and the team have adapted their expertise. Ruinart Blanc Singulier is the result of an innovative oenological approach, blending 80% of base wines from a specific year with 20% from a perpetual reserve crafted exclusively for this cuvée.  A new blend that preserves Ruinart's distinctive aromatic freshness for a blanc de blancs that is either lightly dosed or not dosed at all, depending on the edition of the cuvée.

This new 100% chardonnay cuvée is presented as a collection whose editions reflect the years marked by an atypical climate. The Edition 18 presents notes of fleshy white and yellow fruits and candied yellow citrus fruits, honeyed floral notes, serene aromatic herbs and smoky spices.
