2018 Elizabeth Spencer Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

(92 Points) The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Cuvée is a terrific value from this producer. It has a classic, very balanced, medium-bodied style that offers lots of red and black currant-like fruit as well as traditional Bordeaux-like notes of cedar pencil, tobacco leaf, and loamy soil. It’s nicely balanced, with present yet ripe tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish, all making for an outstanding Napa Valley Cabernet that competes with wines two to three times the price.
