2017 Pride Mountain Vineyards Reserve Claret, California, USA

Lovely fruit notes of plum, black cherry, boysenberry and mulberry meld with hazelnut, cocoa, bergamot and bramble to create an enthralling range of flavor. The mouth is densely packed with flavor, coating every surface and lingering pleasantly after each sip. Our Reserve Claret showcases merlot at its best. Our Lower Mountain Top block, which always produces a stunningly extracted merlot, forms the foundation of this wine, to which our most intensely structured cabernet lots are blended to add the weight and heft that give this wine it's opulent texture and ageability. The blend was assembled in summer of 2018 and was then allowed another eighteen months in barrel to marry prior to bottling in December 2019.
