The Henry Brothers vineyard is located in the renowned Howell Mountain appellation at an elevation of 1,930 feet. Rich volcanic soils with gentle rolling terrain produces some amazing wine grapes. Planted to all five Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, lends the perfect opportunity in creating an exceptional Cabernet blend from this remarkable vineyard. This select blend of 2016 Henry Brothers Reserve is an expression of not only the Howell Mountain AVA, but the artful and unique blending of the five Bordeaux varietals from a single site. This Cabernet blend delivers with depth, density and complexity. This wine jumps forth with generous sweet plum, black currant and blackberry aromas. A nice touch of sweet vanilla and fig just add to its opulent aromatics. The unrestrained flavors burst forward with luscious black fruit expressions. Full graceful tannin holds all in balance and carries the wine along smoothly to a long lingering finish. I’m thrilled to once again create the Henry Brother Reserve Cabernet in the 2016 vintage. I describe this 2016 Henry Brothers Reserve Cabernet as . . . Bold yet graceful. Easy to enjoy now and for many years to come. -Michael Trujillo, Winemaker
