Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words.
Plautus
We like sweet words but we like wine better and this year we are studying wines that are 40 and 50 years of age so it’s time to see how the 1974 and 1984 vintages are drinking today. For those of you wine drinking people that are turning 40 and 50 years old this year it will not be easy to find wines from your birth year. This is an indication that these were not considered great vintages upon release and most of the wines were consumed in their youth.
It took me almost the entire year to come up with a dozen wines to put on the table for this event and I had to combine the 1974 and 1984 vintage wines to come up with 11 wines to put on the table tonight!
This is true scientific research that we are doing here at the Wine Watch, checking each vintage to see when the best time to consume for the optimum drinking pleasure. It's hard work but we are willing to sacrifice our body for our wine drinking people.
For those of you that are a product of the 1970’s or 1980’s I have included all the wines from these two vintages that we have in stock on this offering so you can celebrate your 40th or 50th with a bottle from your vintage!
There are only 14 spaces available at this event and the fee for this tasting which includes dinner is $295 + tax, for reservations call 954-523-9463 or e-mail andy@winewatch.com. Please let us know when you reservations if you have any food allergies or aversions and chefs Toni and Dani will be happy to accommodate you.
