2016 Dos Lagos Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Atlas Peak Napa

Kent Jarman describes the 2016 DLV Cab single vineyard "Black cherry, plum, tamarind and bakers chocolate from the aromatics. Fresh dark berries, and a creme brule middle palate are underlined by fine, well integrated dusty tanins."

Atlas Peak AVA in Napa, California. A 22 acre property in total, there are 5 acres of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and "Two Lakes" or "Dos Lagos" in Spanish. The property is high on the south facing slopes of Atlas Peak, at an altitude of approximately 1,650 feet. The vines are planted on the gently sloping hillsides reaching down to the two lakes. Our "Terroir" encompasses gentle ridge top breezes to cool the vines in the afternoon, and poor, rocky soils comprised of white volcanic ash, the "Tuff Series Geology". Dos Lagos Vineyards sits on some of the most sought after soils in all of Cabernet-land, and the grapes are so special that we are able to offer 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that is 100% ESTATE grown. This is the most pure expression of what mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is all about.
