2015 Hoopes Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa

A ten acre vineyard located in the southern part of Oakville, 32 year old vines planted old world style trells system and they are like small trees at 6 foot tall. A very reserved bouquet, this wine is much more open and revealing on the second day with a peppery spice fine herbs and some red currant berry fruit coming through along with a milk chocolate notes on the nose. Very conceetrated and rich on the palate with a good amount of that herb and loamy earthy character along with a nice hand of dark chocolate along with a firm hand of tannins here but lots of everything else, this wine needs some time.
